Wouldn't it be great if the photo archive digital images that we curate for future generations contains MORE than just the image.

When a smartphone takes a photo it often contains metadata on 

• GPS Location
• Device
• ISO
• Date etc

If we could add this information to OLD photos (as we scan/photograph) them this could be useful.

Having read this excellent post and aware that future projects will benefit from ordinary users adding content maybe we should relook at making this as easy as possible or at least less overwhelming.
