The travelling Continental Market comes to the Triangle Market - lots of different stalls offering fare from Europe in a market setting
Added: 23 September, 2023North Lowestoft Men's Shed has applied to Network Rail for the ex-Chadds, ex-Menzies building in Denmark Road.
They want to turn an unloved run-down building into a vibrant, green, community building. It was built sometime in the 1890's, so it has considerable historic interest, as well.
North Lowestoft Men's Shed think it's a perfectly sound building, ideal as a men's shed project.
Network Rail think it's only fit to demolished.

Lowestoft Heritage Open Days Week seems to have been a tremendous success, again. An amazing amount of effort and work put into it right across Lowestoft, mostly by volunteers. An astonishing 115 events were listed.

North Lowestoft Men's Shed is trying hard to get access to a building on Denmark Road, which looks perfect for a Shed.

Sorry about this, Shed people, but tomorrow's get together for this week is not happening. Too much cold around. Re-convene next week. In the meantime, we are awaiting news on land and premises. Though it may be a bit of a wait...

Lowestoft High Street flared into cultural life this Saturday, with an intimate piece of enticing story-telling in a bookshop and a stomping outdoor exhibition of the strange tradition of Molly Dancing.
John Osborne's My Car Plays Tapes was a delightful experience. A consummate piece of story telling. A wry, insightful and funny wander through low wage jobs, nostalgia, mechanical failure and being a support worker. John's has a wonderful rhythm to his delivery, with immaculate verbal timing. If you see he's on somewhere, go see him. You'll be gently uplifted.
Added: 23 September, 2023The North Lowestoft Men’s Shed has been in dialogue regarding the unoccupied former Great Eastern Railway Stables building on Denmark Rd. North Lowestoft Men's Shed first looked inside the building a year ago (March 2021).

From over 20 interviews with people living on the Broads, Booming Voices is a new play that aims to capture the magic of this iconic landscape and explore its possible future. Fusing real voices, music and science this show will tell a new, unheard story of the Broads.
In the height of the pandemic, Jen, a young student, is isolating in her home on the edge of a watery haven, while her tutor in the US is exploring the impact of climate change. Together they explore the iconic wildlife and nature of the Broads, showing us just how vulnerable this seemingly timeless landscape is.

London Road North's Saturday Rewind had a conspiratorial word, and the sun duly shone on First Light's third market town event on Saturday 19th March.
Initially conceived as a market, the event had morphed into a retro celebration, with music, stalls, a mobile bookseller, street entertainers and a general feel-good vibe.
Every stall and the stage were covered. It was well organised.
